Tammy Darcy is an award-winning social entrepreneur. Tammy founded the Shona Project to provide a safe place for girls to seek guidance and advice on all the challenges associated with growing up in Ireland. The Shona Project has also delivered workshops to almost 13,000 girls in schools across Ireland. The Shona Project won the Community/Non-Profit category at the Think Global Awards 2021 ceremony.
Ep 66: Shane Ryan
From Portarlington to Pennsylvania – Shane Patrick Ryan is an American-Irish swimmer who competes internationally for Ireland. Shane is a firm believer in learning from your past experiences and using these to move forward and mature from them. Shane qualified for Rio Olympics in 2016, with the medals to prove it, won bronze in the 50m backstrokes at the 2018 World Short Course Championships, and in 2019 won the European Short Course bronze.

Unbroken by blindness in 1998, Mark became an adventure athlete competing in ultra-endurance races across deserts, mountains, and the polar ice caps including being the first blind person to race to the South Pole. Mark won silver and bronze medals for rowing at the Commonwealth Games. Mark was described by Microsoft’s CEO, Satya Nadella as one of “the most inspiring people I met” after they discussed the ways technology is changing how people learn.
